The bolo tie, classic in Indigenous Southwestern adornment yet born through colonial contact, acts as a reflection of Southwestern liminality as a composted identity. My bolos act as tangled conglomerates of colonial histories and Southwestern Indigenous sentiments. In wearing, they create a site of re-memberment with un-fixed formats that allow the wearer to slide borders and embrace ambiguity.
